Outreach at City Point
Serving our community is a big part of who we are as a church. Cleaning up trash, packing meals at a food bank, and coming together to meet the needs of others are all ways we give back and share the love of Jesus with people. Take a look below at some of the opportunities available where you can make a difference!
Our outreach ministry here at City point has partnered with The Village nursing home in Richardson. With every visit, we hope to bring joy to those who may feel as if they’ve been abandoned or forgotten, to see them laugh, and to see them smile. Most of all, we want them to know that they are loved and to remind them that God still sees them. That He hasn’t abandoned them, or forgotten them in their twilight season. During these visits we will spend time and play games with residents, pray with them, share devotionals, and share the love of Christ with them.
If you’d like to get involved in this ministry, there are several opportunities coming up. Just click the link below and fill out the form, and an outreach team leader will contact you. You can also email email@example.com for more information.
This Easter we will be collecting shoes for kids in our community who are in need. Shoes are a basic necessity for school kids that not every family can afford. Our goal is to collect at least 60 pairs of new shoes that will be distributed to kids at elementary schools right here in Collin County. We need brand new athletic sneakers for boys and girls, sizes 13 Toddler and 1Y-7Y. Bring your donation to any of our five Easter services on April 11th-12th and drop them off in either lobby.
We’re partnering with Minnie’s Food Pantry on April 25th to help prepare meals for some of the 2500 families who are served through this organization each month. We’re looking for at least 10 volunteers to help out with this outreach event. If you’d like to be a part of this outreach opportunity, click the link below to learn more and sign up!
